Wildlife. Kerala is one of the world’s most bio-diverse regions with mountains, wilderness, evergreen forests and wetlands. This area and the national parks within it are home to the Asian elephant, the Bengal tiger, leopard, Nilgiri tahr, reptiles and monkeys, grizzled giant squirrel and many rare and remote species.

Waterfalls. There are hundreds of spectacular waterfalls in Kerala – incredible sights which are the reward for treks and tours.

Lighthouses. There are 15 lighthouses along the coast of Kerala, the tallest of which is Tangasseri, built in 1902.

Festivals. Kerala’s major festival is Onam and there are many other religious festivals based around temples such as Thrissur, Chettikulangara, Aluva and Padanilam.
