The Grosvenor Arms is in the heart of the historic hilltop town of Shaftesbury, home of Gold Hill.
Surrounded by the stunning open Wiltshire/Dorset countryside with its beautiful villages, country pubs and walks, The Grosvenor Arms is a restaurant, bar and cafe with 16 bedrooms that is steeped in history.
Originally a medieval posting inn, it was renamed by Earl Grosvenor in 1820, and is now a focal point for this bustling town. An outstanding kitchen team use local produce, simply cooked in the atmospheric restaurant, while the cafe, bar and conservatory are open all day.
This is a wonderful place to stay a few days and explore Dorset, the coastline, Bath and Salisbury. For celebrations and functions there is also the Assembly Room and two private dining rooms.

Please note there is no dedicated parking at The Grosvenor Arms. The Hotel has one parking permit per hotel bedroom for a long-stay car park that is just 2 minutes’ walk from hotel reception.
If you are staying at The Grosvenor Arms you can pull up at the front of the building and reception will help you unload your luggage and provide you with a parking permit.
If you are dining at The Grosvenor Arms, the most convenient place to park is in the long-stay car park. Parking is free after 6pm.
