ROYAL OPENING FOR LATEST BESPOKE HOTEL

THE CORNWALL HOTEL, SPA & ESTATE OFFICIALLY OPENED BY HRH THE COUNTESS OF WESSEX
On Monday 8 March 2010 HRH The Countess of Wessex officially opened the Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate.
Local dignitaries including the Mayor of St Austell Brian Palmer, Lady Mary Holborow, Mr Jonathan Coode DL and Cllr Jill Bassham joined the architects, interior designers and funders of the Hotel in the glorious sunshine to celebrate the opening of the hotel – seven years in the making.
HRH The Countess of Wessex arrived at the Hotel at lunchtime, and toured the Clearing Spa, before meeting with the architect Richard Francis who talked her through his drawings.
The tour was led by Hotel Manager James Harding and Director Mark Rudrum. The Countess was then shown various bedrooms and met key staff before joining guests in the lounge where she unveiled the plaque, opening the Hotel officially.
Tipped to be the ‘hot’ opening in the South West in 2010, the Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate is set in 43 acres of beautiful Victorian parkland and is home to 65 bedrooms and suites, two restaurants, the indulgent Clearing Spa, fitness facilities and 22 luxury Woodland Homes for sale and holiday rental.
