The Maloja Palace is in the heart of the Swiss Alps, in the Engadine and at the edge of the Bergell valley, 15 km from St. Moritz, where the sun shines, on average, for over 320 days a year.
'Engadine' means garden of the River Inn. Engadine is a long valley, protected by high mountains on all sides, in the canton of Graubünden in south-east Switzerland. It follows the route of the Inn River from its headwaters at Maloja Pass, and borders the Swiss National Park.
On its way through the Engadine valley the River Inn also passes through the parc of the Maloja Palace Hotel.
