Tea Factory tour. A charming factory started by the son of the Maharajah of Cochin. An interactive tour where you can see the entire tea-making process.

Nilgiri Mountain railway. Quaint train and Unesco World Heritage site, brimming with British Raj nostalgia. Built over a century ago, the 40 kilometre track runs through 16 tunnels and over 362 bridges, snakes up mountains. You may even get to see a herd of wild elephants crossing the track.

The Charms of Coonoor. Tea plantations, waterfall-streaked valleys and misty mountains.

The Queen of the Nilgris. The former summer capital of British India is a favourite getaway of honeymooning couples and a popular location for many romantic bollywood, tamil and regional Indian films.

Botanical Garden. Laid out in 1847 it covers 22 hectares, has over 1,000 species of trees and 20,000 species that bloom in the rose garden which is the largest of its kind in India.

Doddabetta Peak. At 2,623 metres the highest peak on the Nilgris.

Boating on Ooty Lake.  

Pakasuran Jeep Ride and Trek. A scenic jeep drive from Kurumba Village Resort takes you to the foot of the Pakasuran Hill which has some of the finest views of the Blue Mountains. From here, you trek up to the top of the mountain where you are served a hot meal.
