Mussoorie is a fascinating hill resort in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan ranges in the Dehradun District of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is about 35 kilometres from the state capital of Dehradun.

Sir George Everest’s house. Built in 1832, the house belonged to the famous surveyor and geographer, Sir George Everest, after whom the world’s highest peak is named.

Jwalaji Temple. Sits at the top of Benog Hill 2,240 metres above sea level, a shrine to the Hindu deity, Durga, the manifestation of supreme beauty and deadly power in Hindu mythology.
