“This is a brief introduction to a very special club concept, now open in two great cities”
The elegant exteriors of Home House - both in London and Edinburgh - can only hint at the warmth that awaits you within. Both Clubs offer exceptional comfort, attentive personal service and friendly informality.
Behind the fine Georgian porticos lie truly distinctive interiors. Private views, some over courtyard gardens, breathtaking interiors and trompe-l’oeil that really does trick the eye. Dramatic murals and exotic lights create an informal and relaxing “Alfresco” atmosphere. Enjoy a glass of wine and a little tiffin or a full three-course meal. Take a cocktail with friends or simply relax with a cappuccino and your favourite newspaper.
At Home House London you’ll find members fencing on the stair-case one day, and Jazz in the Drawing Rooms the next. The Club ethos remains true to that of its founder – the Countess of Home – who was affectionately known as ‘the Queen of Hell’ in London’s most disreputable and convivial social circles.
Home House London at 20 Portman Square is one of the finest works of the 18th century designer, decorator and all-round architectural genius Robert Adam. Within the maze of 130 rooms you can sit quietly in a world of your own, discreetly talk business, or immerse yourself in a sociable buzz. At the hub of Home House is The Bison Bar – humming with news, views and gossip, and fuelled by the energy of Europe’s greatest capital City.
Please note that you must be a member of Home House, or a guest of a member, to use any of the facilities listed on these pages.
