Whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure, you need three things from London hotels: great facilities, a local area you’ll want to get out and explore, alongside easy access to all the places you want to go. And you’re in luck! Because The Bermondsey Square Hotel offers all this and more.
The Bermondsey Square Hotel
The Bermondsey Square Hotel is certainly one of the more chic and luxurious hotels of London hotels, and indeed has hosted the likes of Gordon Ramsey and Mary Portas in the Channel 4 show Hotel GB.
The property’s ninety designer bedrooms have facilities ranging from work space to Grohe drench showers in the wet-rooms, while six have access to a large outdoor terrace. Four super-luxurious loft suites, with features such as Japanese baths or eight-person hot-tubs, all offer sensational panoramas of London, with views as far as the London Eye and Houses of Parliament.
The loft suites can also make conferences, interviews or film-shoots something special, while a boardroom is available for more formal meetings. You can have a more casual gathering in the comfort of the ground-floor lounge, with free tea and coffee between 11am and 5pm.
Whether you’re staying at the hotel or not, a modern-British menu is available between 11am and 11pm, or you can enjoy home-make cakes and pastries from the Pantry. There’s a choice of eating indoors or, in fine weather, out on the terrace and lively adjacent square ̶ and, if you feel you’ve overeaten, hotel guests receive preferential rates at the exclusive Soho Gyms.
The Bermondsey Square area is fast becoming one of the most fashionable parts of London, packed with stylish restaurants, shopping and nightlife, all a stone’s throw from the hotel.
If you enjoy sorting through bric-a-brac with the hope of finding hidden treasures, the Bermondsey Square Antiques Market, founded in 1855, is right on the doorstep. What’s more, within no more than five or six minutes’ walk, you can also find several art galleries, the Fashion and Textile Museum, and an idiosyncratic independent cinema.
Whether you’re staying at the Bermondsey Square Hotel for business or pleasure, wherever you want is within easy reach. Both the City and Canary Wharf are a couple of Tube stations or a short taxi ride away, while sightseers are a brief walk from iconic locations like the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the Shard.
London Bridge tube station is also nearby and will whisk you anywhere in central London, or you can choose to see the capital from the top of one of the many buses serving the area.
The Bermondsey Square Hotel is luxurious, well-located and within easy reach of the famed city sights. How many London hotels can boast the same?

While it’s true that no matter where you are based in London, almost everywhere else is easily accessible via tube, bus or taxi, London is also a collection of villages, each with its own identity. Half term is looming, and parents all over the country are wondering how on earth they’re going to keep the kids amused. Most areas have events organised, and there are always stand-by treats like the cinema or an afternoon bowling, but will that see them through the holiday?
If there aren’t enough events locally, why not organise a uk hotel break to one of the major attractions around the country? If you make a mini-holiday of it, staying at a hotel for the night before and after, you can take away the stress and have an experience the whole family can enjoy.
Most children love a visit to the zoo, and there are some spectacular ones around the country. London Zoo is one of the most famous in the world, but if you want to stay outside of London, there are plenty of options.
Chester Zoo has been named best zoo in Britain and seventh-best in the world by TripAdvisor. Besides the large and varied collection of animals, children can get involved in some of the conservation work the zoo undertakes. And with the five star Chester Grosvenor nearby your break will be truly luxurious!
The Marwell Hotel is next door to Marwell Zoo in Hampshire, and boasts 235 species, covering most types of animals. If this isn’t enough, the zoo also offers three adventure playgrounds to keep the kids entertained.
If you’d like to show your children animals in a more natural habitat, Woburn Safari Park is perfect. You have the choice of driving through the homes of animals ranging from lions and tigers to giraffes, rhinos and monkeys, or taking a walk to see elephants, penguins, birds of prey and so much more.
Take a Ride
If your kids love spectacular rides, Thorpe Park has everything they could wish for. The Stealth roller-coaster, Tidal Wave, Derren Brown’s Ghost Train and countless other attractions will thrill them, and there are also more gentle rides for younger children.
It’s not all thrills and spills, though. Children will love the Angry Birds 4D Experience, and they can enjoy the vast Amity Beach paddling pool.
The London Experience
London for UK hotel breaks has more attractions than you we could possibly list here. Children will be fascinated by the Changing of the Guard, and even moreso by the bloody history of the Tower of London.
London Zoo is spectacular, but London also offers an unexpected range of opportunities for children to experience nature at the capital’s many city farms. You could take in a show — many of the shows on in the West End are child-friendly — and shop till you drop on Oxford Street. There is sure to be far more than you have time for.
Whatever and wherever you choose, you can be assured a great family half term UK break with Bespoke Hotels. To check prices and availability just click here >>>
