Edakkal Caves. At 1,200 metres above sea level, the historic cave was discovered in 1890. It is formed by an enormous boulder straddling a massive fissure in the rock, creating a covered space 96 feet long, 22 feet wide and 30 feet high and is home to stone carvings from the Neolithic era.

Meenmutty Falls. Cascading down in three stages from a height of about 300 metres, Meenmutty Falls is a 2-kilometre trek from Banasura Hill Resort.

Wildlife sanctuaries. Tholpetty and Muthanga are both home to a variety of animals including tigers, leopards, elephants, panthers, civets, deer, bison, bears, monitor lizards and many birds.

Banasura Sagar Dam. The largest earthen dam in India, on the Karamanathodu tributary of the Kabini River. This is an incredible picnic spot with tiny islands and Banasura Hill forming an amazing backdrop.
